Users have firstly mentioned that the listed 300 foot-to-pounds or torque is a bit generous, as the actual performance puts it in the 150-200 lbs. range. Also, the power is significantly reduced when relying on the batteries. A power cord is the best way to maximize the strength and make use of the power. With its bulk and weight, this impact wrench has not performed very well in terms of power as compared to other similar products in the market. Having a Ni-Cad battery, it’s best to ensure that you always fully charge the batteries as you don’t want to get into a tight situation with the batteries half-dead. With the power and the batteries, one user estimated a full charge to last around 70 3’ 3/8” lags into redwood, which is pretty OK compared to others out there. It’s pretty good, meeting the expectations, but don’t expect to be too amazed with its power. It’s also very bulky and loud, and not easy to fit into tight spaces. It is good for lug nuts, however.
